Getting Started with Email Translations
Your contacts may come from various countries across the globe. This means you may need to send out emails in multiple languages according to your contacts’ preferences. Doing this can instantly drive engagement and conversions.
There are two different ways to create the same email in different languages:
- The first option is that you create a reference email in a particular language. Now, you can duplicate this reference email and change the content manually into another language.
- The second option is to create a translated version automatically for your reference email.
How to create email translations?
Login to your Aritic PinPoint dashboard > Campaigns > Email Campaigns > Design a new email campaign.
[lore_alert_message type=”info”]Here we will first design the reference email of which we will, later on, create a translated version.
[/lore_alert_message]On the next page, you start building your reference email. Under General, enter all the details as shown below. Note that, the Language is set to English in our reference. You can go to the email studio and build your campaign. Once you are done, click on the Save and Close option to save this email.
Now, go back to your email list. You will see your reference email. You can either create a clone of this email directly from here or repeat the creation steps as explained above.
In this new email, Language is set as French in the example below. You can put any language of your choice. Make sure you pick a language available in the list in Aritic PinPoint. You can either click on the drop-down arrow to select the language or type in a letter to automatically select the language.
Now go to Advanced Settings and fill in Is Translation Of field with your reference email name. This will help in creating a translated version of the reference email. Save and close when you are done.
